ABOUT AURORA TRAVEL (VIETNAM)

History

The founder of VietnamStay.Com lives in a university outside Vietnam, where may students come to study from all over the world. As such, they travel often, but are limited by budget. One day in 2001, a student asked our founder, Mai Anh Nguyen, to find a hotel in Hanoi that would cost about US$10.00. Though she knew that such hotels existed, she could find none on the Internet. This in part helped launch VietnamStay.Com in late 2002 with a great emphasis on adequate budget hotels, guesthouses and hostels.
Since its very beginning, Vietnamstay.Com has been encouraged to expand, not only from travelers, but also from other travel operators. Gradually, Vietnamstay.Com found that scores of travelers love to lodge in a budget hotel/guesthouse in some cities, but also want to relax in a luxury resort/hotel in others. For that reason, we have also partnered with many four and five star hotels and resorts.
Our primary goal is to assist travelers to find information for their trip to Vietnam; however, our young and enthusiastic staff has managed to win the hearts of many travelers with our welcoming service and care. We are extremely proud of this achievement.

How we work

VietnamStay.com's philosophy is to provide travelers as much information as possible for their journey to Vietnam. We are most concerned about the needs of travelers like you. We created this website to assist you in planning and budgeting your trip to our country. The personal services we offer are found in the details: as we are travelers ourselves, we question the differences between standard, superior and deluxe hotels. We ask ourselves if there is better value to book a deluxe room instead of standard, and when we get in touch with these, we go over these details with great care.

As a rule, all hotels and resorts prefer reservations and payment in advance. We have worked with numerous hotels in Vietnam and have been successful in having them drop the requirement of advance payment or deposits from our customers.

Nevertheless, there are some hotels, and resorts that will always require a guarantee by credit card or pre-payment, particularly in peak seasons. If such is the case, a credit card authorization will be sent to you via email, which you can fill out and return to us by fax. So in most cases, payment will be effected at the time of your visit to Viet Nam.

It is quite easy to understand the reasons that we can claim to be able to provide you with the most competitive rates. As local people, we are in a strong position to negotiate with hotels for better rates. Also, because of low overhead in Vietnam, we only add a small service charge to each booking.

Our success can be summarized to these key points: Attention to details, Good rates, Flexibility, Reliability and Excellent customer service.
