riding on Samlor (Rickshaw), the oldest useful mode of transportation and used
in Thailand for over 60 years. It can be proved to be a very practicable
transportation. Enjoy riding on Samlor through a local resident area surrounded
by ancient city walls. Stop for visit Wat Phrasingh, the perfect example of the
classic northern Thai or Lanna style. Then ride to explore Chiang Mai China Town
pressed on both sides with fresh fruit and colorful flower stands. Stroll along
through bustling local market. Pick up by a van at Chinese temple to your hotel
or return to your hotel by Samlor for the guest in a city hotel.

Day 03: Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel
Leave for Chiang Rai overland (183 kms. away) across mountain, valleys and
picturesque landscapes. A stop is made at Hot Spring along the way. At Mae Chan
visit a Yao and an Akha hilltribe villages. Continue on to Mae Sai, the most
northern Thai-Burmese border. Having lunch and then drive on to the Golden
Triangle where the borers of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge and to
Chiangsaen. Transfer to hotel in Chiang Rai city for check in.
