TH09-01: DIVERSITY THAILAND
9 days - 8 nights
Bangkok - Floating Market - Auythaya - Phitsanuloke - Sukhothai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

Day 1: Bangkok - Arrival
On arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport, you’re met and transferred to hotel. After checking in to the hotel you will be free on your own activities.

Day 2: Bangkok – Grand Palace – Canals Tours – City & Temples (B/L)
Today we begin our tour of Bangkok with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to see many lively inner canals which provide some fantastic views of the local life. Along the way we will stop over at Wat Arun, the temple of dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace which dedicated to the Thai Royal Family’s ceremonies. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex we will drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Po houses a gigantic Reclining Buddha. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3: Bangkok – Floating Market – Rose Garden (The Cultural shows) (B/L)

Drive south of Bangkok to the garden province of Samut Songhkhram in the Mae Klong river delta area. First visit a unique country market along the railway tracks. See the train arrive bringing the people to the market. Continue to fascinating floating market at Damnoen Saduak about 110 km from Bangkok in the Ratchaburi province. On arrival visit local Sugar Palm factory before board on a long tails boat along Damnern canals. After spend your time at the floating market we continue to visit teakwood carving. On the way return to Bangkok we stop at The Rose Garden is a picturesque country resort, It consists of over 50 acres of tropical paradise with flower gardens, orchards and a typical Thai village. Buffet lunch inside the Rose Garden and then followed by Thai cultural shows, you can witness ordination into the fingernail dance, Thai boxing, hill tribe dance, sword fighting, elephants at work and folk dancing. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 4: Bangkok – Ayuthaya – Lop Buri – Phitsanuloke (B/L)
After breakfast, departure for Ayuthaya visit Wat Phra Sisanphet , which was used as the Royal Temple Palace by several kings. The following sight is Wat Chai Wattanaram whose the constructing patterns are very interesting and then visits Wat Yai Chiang Mongkol. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Afternoon we continue drive to Lop Buri, formerly known as “ Lawo”, was one of the important ancient towns of the Khmers from the10th-13th century. Many Khmer ruins are found in and around this town. Visit the museum at Narai Raja Nives Palace, the Sacred Three Spired Pagoda as well as the Monkey Temple. After seeing this sight we continue our northbound journey to Phitsanulok, our final destination. If the time permits visit Wat Phra Buddha Chinarat. Overnight in Phitsanulok.

Day 5: Phitsanuloke – Sukhothai – Lampang – Phayao – Chiang Rai (B/L)
After breakfast, we will drive to Sukhothai. This famous cultural town was once the royal capital of the Thailand Kingdom, however has left its legacies in the forms of many ruined temples and palaces. We include these in a half day tour which will give us a deep insight into the glorious past of Sukhothai. The we will continue drive on to Chiang Rai with short stop in Lampang – Phayao, then Chiang Rai. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 6: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Maesai – Chiang Mai (B/L)
We drive to The royal capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom, Chiang Saen is nestled on the Mekong riverbank which is the border between Thailand and Laos. Visit to Wat Chedi Luang and a nearby museum. Chiang Saen, this town is our base for exploring the Golden Triangle in which powerful warlords have fought for control the opium trade. We will continue drive to the northern most of Thailand and Mae Sai. There is possible to cross the border at Thachilek into Burma (Optional with Extra cost). Afternoon, we visit Wat Thampla feeding wild monkey and a thousand carves. Continue drive along the winding road to Chiang Mai, stop to visit Wat Rong Khun, you will be arriving Chiang Mai by late afternoon. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 7: Chiang Mai – City Tours (B/L)
The second largest city of Thailand is Chiang Mai. Today we explore this charming town with a walk to the famous Doi Suthep Mountain, leading us to Wat Prathat Temple near the summit. At an elevation of over 1,000 meters, this temple grounds afford a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. We follow this with a visit to the old and new parts of the town featuring the great diversity. The "Rose of the North", Chiang Mai has been always noted for exquisite handicrafts whose the combination with the traditional wares of the hill tribe people offers fantastic shopping opportunities. Heading out of town we drive to the neighboring villages of Sankampaeng and Borsarng to see the various cottages industries including silk weaving, wood carving, silver ware and umbrellas making. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 8: Chiang Mai – Elephant Trainning camp (B/L)
This is a great opportunity to learn how to prepare traditional food in a Northern Style Thai home. You visit to a local Thai market where you are shown how to select fresh ingredients for your course. Skilled Thai cooks demonstrate the secrets of real Thai cooking in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In the afternoon drive to north of Chiang Mai route to Mae Sa Elephant Camp, to see the elephant training shows. Then visit to Orchid nursery. Overnight in Chaing Mai.

Day 9: Chiang Mai – Next destination at Phu Ket/Samui/Krabi/PhiPhi Island (B)
From Chiang Mai, take a flight to Phuket or Samui. Have a perfect beach break to finish up your journey in Thailand.
