Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1

  CHIANG MAI - WIANG KHUM KHAN - LAMPHUN – LAMPANG

   Pick up from the airport and drive to Wiang Khum Kham to visit the impressive ruins of this former capital. Continue to Lamphun to visit Wat Phra That Hariphunchai and the Dhamma Cultural Centre. There you can see the sculptural works of two artists, an American lady and her Thai husband, and get insights in modern Buddhist thinking.  Lunch will be served at the center.  Afterwards drive to Lampang with a visit to Wat Phra That Lampang Luang on the way. In Lampang take a horse carriage to visit Wat Phra Kaeo Don Tao and check in at hotel.

• Day 2

  LAMPANG – PHRAE – NAN

   Morning drive to Phrae with en route visit Suan Hin Maharaj Park that was built for honoring His Majesty the King in the celebration of his 5th cycle birthday. The area is wonderful and beautiful scenery to see. And there are many sightseeing spots awaiting the travellers throughout the year. This gains more and more tourists year after year.  Then visit the Vongburi house, a colonial-style mansion turned into a museum, Wat Chorm Sawan, a Burmese style temple before continuing Tung Hong Village and visit a Mohom shirt workshop. The blue cotton shirts are used by farmers and workers alike and are famous for their quality. A short visit brings you to the Rong Fong village where you can see blacksmiths making farming tools and knives. Continue towards Nan and stop for a walk around Phae Muang Phi, an area of earthen pillars created by erosion. After arrival in Nan, check in at Dhevaraj Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure

• Day 3

  NAN – CHIANG KHAM-CHIANG RAI

   In the morning visit the city by foot, first with the central market then Wat Phumin, Wat Chang Kham Woraviharn, Wat Mua Khuang & the museum (close on Monday). Road to the north, stop at Nong 

  Bua: a Tai Lu village with its weaving center and beautiful temple. Picnic lunch on the way. Road to    Chiang Kham, visit Wat Nantaram. Continue to Chiang Rai via Thoeng.

• Day 4

  CHIANG RAI - MAE SALONG – GOLDEN TRIANGLE

   After breakfast, drive up to Mae Salong road to Doi Mae Salong, passing through beautiful mountain scenery. Stunning view from top takes in a large part of Thailand, Burma and the Mekong Valley to visit Akha, Yao and Muser Hill tribe Villages and also visit tea plantation Tea tasting.  Then drive to the Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, Myammar and Laos converge.  

  Lunch at local restaurant .After lunch enjoy a boat trip along the Mekong River gives spectacular views of the river bank. Cruise back, and transfer to hotel

• Day 5

  CHIANG RAI

   After breakfast, check out and visit local fresh market.  Then visit Wat Phra Keow which once, during the 13th century, housed the Emerald Buddha now in Bangkok and three King Monument before drop off at Chiang Rai Airport for flight to next destination
