ITINERARY Just a few kilometers from Nha Trang’s beachfront is the picturesque countryside dotted with palm trees and fruit orchards. Here the local people go about their daily business, with farming and cottage industry traditionally the mainstream of their simple lives. A nearby kindergarten is a delight to visit with welcoming children who are only too pleased to see the smiles of a western face (the kindergarten is closed on Sunday and public holiday). We will have the opportunity to visit a local home - these are traditionally laid out in the same manner throughout the village. Ancestor worship is an important part of daily life in Vietnam and a large area of these small homes is usually reserved for the family altar. Stop amongst the rice fields to watch and photograph the farmers and buffaloes at work (season dependant). We also enjoy a visit to a village that live on making traditional rush mat. This helps us to understand a fascinating insight into the "real lives" of everyday people who are the backbone of Vietnam. Finish the tour we come to a nice restaurant on the bank of the river or a nice restaurant in town to enjoy a sumptuous lunch. Stop at the market where you can shop until you drop.
