Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    YANGON ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR (no meal)

    On arrival, you are picked up and transfer to your hotel in Yangon to start your Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia highlight tour.

    Today's sightseeing tour includes the old colonial-style city center with the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years, BOGYOKE (SCOTT'S) MARKET with hundreds of stores (closed on Monday) and a visit of a gems shop. The tour continues to CHAUK HTAT GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo stop made at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge. An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world's most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold.

  • Day 2

    YANGON- BAGAN BY FLIGHT (B)

    Wake up early and transfer to Yangon airport for flight to Bagan at 6.00am, one of the Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia.

    The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style. 

    A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. We will then take horse cart along off the beaten track of Bagan Pagodas to reach one of the temples from the top of it we would view the sunset.

  • Day 3

    BAGAN FULL DAY VISIT (B)

    Get up early and enjoy sunrise balloon (30 ~ 45 minutes, sharing 12 ~ 16 pax/ a balloon) which brings you the memorable moment during this Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia highlight tour.

    Please kindly advise to the clients in advance and kindly confirm back to me with their Body Weight. Any passenger in excess of 125kg/ 280 pound or any passenger who requires the space in the basket for 2 passengers, will be required to book the additional extra space at the time of booking.
     
    Then go back to hotel and have breakfast. The second day sightseeing at Asia’s best kept archaeological destination includes a visit to Dhamayangyi Temple – the most massive, significant monument in Bagan with finest mortar-less brickwork; Sulamani Temple – close to the Dhamayangyi temple with more sophisticated style of later Bagan temple; another Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba village – believed to be built for Rajakumar on the death of his father, King Kyansitta, and famous nowadays for its well preserved wall paintings; Manuha Temple – built by detained Mon King Manuha; Ngagayon Temple – similar to the plan of Anada Temple and the main attraction is that the twice life size Buddha Image shelters under the hood of the naga or serpent inside the temple.   • Day 4

    BAGAN – Mt.POPA – MANDALAY BY ROAD (B)

    Breakfast at the hotel. At 8.00am, we drive to Mt. Popa - an extinct volcano at 65km south east of Bagan in the plain region of middle Myanmar and as the one of National parks in Myanmar with preserved forest. It serves as a small oasis in the hot, dry plain of Myanmar. The popularity of Mt. Popa today lies in the interest of religious and mystical beliefs as an abode of spirits, “Nats”. Climb the Taungkalat – believed to be the part of the main volcano blown apart and plugged at the current location.

    Then proceed to Mandalay. Upon arrival Mandalay, transfer to the hotel and check-in.

  • Day 5

    MANDALAY CITY – AMARAPURA (B)

    Breakfast at the hotel. Start tour at 8.00am, sightseeing at Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom, includes Mandalay Royal Palace – a well-planned palace located at the heart of today’s Mandalay city; Atumashi monastery, originally believed to be the best teak wood monastery in architecture and art works until it was burnt down and nowadays a new building of similar prototype exists there; Shwenandaw monastery, still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book.

    Afternoon visit to Mahamuni Buddha Image – believed to be cast in bronze in front of Buddha himself and nowadays gilded with thick gold leaf; gold leaf hammering. Drive to Amarapura; U Bein bridge, the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman lake, an ideal place to enjoy the sunset and one of the best place to take wonderful photos in this Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia highlight tour. Return to Mandalay.

  • Day 6

    MANDALAY – BANGKOK – SIEM REAP (B)

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bangkok. Connect with your flight to Siem Reap, departing (no tour guide in both cities).

    Upon arrival at Siem Reap port or airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel in Siem Reap (no tour guide)

  • Day 7

    SIEM REAP – ANGKOR COMPLEX (B)

    Spend a full day to visit Angkor Complex, which no one should miss in the Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia highlight tour.

    Star tour at 8.00am & visit the Angkor Thom (big Angkor) - 3km2 walled, of which South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon - the giant stone faces with 37 standing tower 4 carved faces, Baphoun - huge temple - mountain in the heart of Angkor Thom, Terrace of Elephants - 2.5m tall wall, the heart of Angkor Thom in front of Baphoun and Phimean Akas, carved elephants and giant graduals, Terrace of Leper King - a double terrace at the north end of Terrace of Elephants with deeply carved, demons and other mythological being and Phimean Akas temple.

     
    Follow is the tour visit the famous Temple of Cambodia, Angkor Wat, and it's visually, architecturally and artistically breathtaking. It's massive three tired pyramid crowned by five beehive-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level and this temple is the centerpiece of any visit to the temple of Angkor.

  • Day 8

    SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI & TONLE SAP LAKE- SAIGON BY FLIGHT

    Breakfast at hotel, then start tour at 8.00am to visit Banteay Srey (40km from Siem Reap town), means "citadel of the women". But is appellation refers to the delicate beauty of the caving. It displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. Have lunch at local restaurant in the town (paid by clients). Transfer to Tonle Sap Great Lake for cruising, visiting fisherman’s life, floating fishing village. Continue to visit Old market for shopping. Then transfer to the airport for your evening flight to Saigon at 18.30.

  • Day 9

    SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS – CITY TOUR (B)

    Pick up at your hotel at 8.00am. Heading to Cu Chi District to visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Back to Hochiminh city for visiting the Reunification Palace, Opera House, Noth Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh market.

  • Day 10

    SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA – SAIGON DA NANG – HOI AN (B, L)

     Depart from Saigon at around 8 am and head to Ben Tre” the coconut island and fruit basket of of the South West”. On arrivals, you will be greeted by our local guide at Balai Bridge. Take a short walk through a lush shaded garden to Mrs Ba Dung Pier where you will board our Coco River Cruise.

     
    Enjoy your welcome drink with fresh coconut juice while cruising along the canal and head to Huu Dinh village. You will continue on a rickshaw trip on the village path through rice paddies and coco garden to get to Ca Ro dyke. Stop for a visit at a local house of Mr Hoang who and his wife live on making incense sticks for living. As incenses are used in most temples and local homes those work ship Buddha and ancestor. The local believe that burning incense in the house to keep it cozy. And they also believe that burning incense when they pray to god or ancestor, that holy smoke will transfer their words and god will understand. This traditional job had been existed for many decades.
     
    Afterwards, take a rowing sampan through a beautiful small canal and enjoy the tropical scenery with its tranquility. Along the way, you will see the daily activities from the locals.
     
    Getting back to your boat, refresh yourself with honey tea and fruits on board and continue cruising to visit another local business, a coconut processing place as Ben Tre has been famous as a coconut land and its products.
     
    You will be amazed of how useful the coconut is to local life here from coconut fibers, oil, candies, wood etc. This plant plays an important role in the local economy.
     
    Then you will continue the cruise to a local restaurant for lunch. Enjoy the Mekong Delta specialty and relax before head back to your boat to get back to brick processing.
     
    After the visit, the boat will be waiting for you at the pier nearby to bring you back to Ben Tre city where your car is ready to take you back to Tan Son Nhat airport for flight to Danang, departing in the early evening (flight time to be advised)

  • Day 11

    HOI AN COUNTRYSIDE LIFE & WALKING TOUR (B, L)

     08:00AM You will be collected at your hotel lobby and ride bicycles to Tra Que Village. Visit the vegetable village and see the daily activities of the local farmers there. Continue riding bicycle along De Vong River to Hoi An Beach dock. Take a boat to Cua Dai sand dune, enjoy casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fishermen. Continue to Cam Thanh Water coconut village, have a brief introduce to the history there. Take on the basket boat (02 pax/ boat) and row along the water coconut river. You will learn how to catch the crabs (for fun). Embark on the motor boat again, enjoy the folk songs show by local people there. Have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, learn how to make funny tools by water coconut leaf. Then visit a craftman’s house in the village.

     
    In the late afternoon, we continue to walk to visit ancient town of Hoian. The visit will includes Japanese covered bridge, some Chinese Assembly Halls, and some typical Vietnamese houses of 18 century. Then we will do the boat ride near the Japanese bridge in the evening when the candles are lit

  • Day 12

    HOI AN – HA NOI CITY TOUR (B)

     TRansfer to Danang airport for flight to Hanoi (no tour guide)

     
    On arrival, you are picked up by our driver. Have the full day tour commences with visit to Hochiminh’s Mausoleum (view from outside), His House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda. Next up, visit the Temple of Literature and the First University of Vietnam (Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam).
     
    Later in the afternoon, we will visit Westlake, Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple. Then we would like to show you of Hanoian daily life with one hour Cyclo (trishaw) ride around the old streets, Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy water puppet show at 17.10.

  • Day 13

    HA NOI – HA LONG BAY OVERNIGHT ON BOARD (B, L, D)

     07:15 – 07:30: Pick up at your hotel (near the Old Quarter in Hanoi) by shuttle bus (sharing deluxe bus)

     
    Depart from your hotel for 3.5 hours transfer to Ha Long Bay – UNESCO World Natural Heritage – where thousands of spectacular limestone islets and grottoes rising from the clear emerald Gulf of Tonkin. Upon arrival, welcome drink on board prior to your check-in. Lunch with fresh sea food will be served while boat is cruising through many stone islets, floating villages, small beaches. Visit a floating fishing village, talk and meet with local villagers prior to your swimming or free time at your own on the sundeck. Dinner would be ready at the time the boat anchors off at a quiet designated overnight area. Overnight on board in Halong Bay.

  • Day 14

    HA LONG BAY – HA NOI (B, L)

     Tai Chi class is available on the sundeck for early risers, then your breakfast served while boat continues cruising around Ha Long Bay. Follow your boat staff to explore one of the most magnificent caves – Surprise Cave, then return to your boat to cruise towards wharf.

     
    Your vehicle is ready awaiting your disembarkation at approximately 1030 for direct transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi.

The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:
  • More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
  • Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
  • Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
  • Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
  • No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost
