Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1

  Day 1

   In the morning, pick up all at lobby of hotel in Ho Chi Minh city, take 2 hour drive southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. We will start our Ben Tre Tour by visit the Mekong Delta which is known as the rice bowl of Vietnam.

   
  Upon arrival, take a boat cruise around islets and orchards through the canal of Vam Xep to reach a islet, followed by a relaxing walk along shady and palm fringed trails passing by villages where you can see their daily life. Stop en route to visit a bee farm, sip special tea with honey and sample fruits with a local family and share their stories of life in the Mekong Delta. Visit a coconut workshop, just to get a glimpse of typical family run business in this area. 
   
  Walk to a lane where a horse-drawn cart awaits you to transfer to visit handicraft village, a coconut candy factory, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music and then relaxation with rowing boat through the narrow under shade palm, tree-lined canals of Mekong River before returning to My Tho by motorized boat.  Enjoy lunch at restaurant on the islet before heading back Saigon.
   
  Stop en route to visit one of the Ben Tre Tour Highlights:
   
  • Vinh Trang Pagoda – an ancient southern architectural gem. Built in 1849, the structure is a harmonious mixture of Asian and European architecture including elements from the Renaissance period, Romanesque style, French decorative flowers and Japanese enameled tile.  There are many specious statues made of wood, among which a collection of 18 was Bodhisattvas sculpted in 1907, representing the summit in sculpture in the Mekong River plains. 
  • Cao Dai Temple in My Tho city that is a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. 
  • Dong Tam snake farm - is a center for breeding snakes producing venom for exportation and an ecological zoo where different genes of rare & precious animals in the Southern area are conserved. There is a museum of almost all species of pythons and snakes in Vietnam. The farm has a collection of mutant turtles and fish on exhibit.

• Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
• Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
• Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
• Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
• No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost

• Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
• Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
• Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
• Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
• Child from 12 yrs up: pay as adult rate
