SAPA AND THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES HIKING AND TREKKING

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1

  Hanoi – Sapa by bus (L)

  Take 5-hour bus drive along the highway to Sapa. Arrive Sapa at noon time. Have lunch in a local restaurant and take a short rest.

   
  This afternoon, we walk about 20 minutes through the Sapa town with beautiful orchids gardens and pine forests, then downhill along a dirt trail to Ma Cha Valley. Arrive to Ma Cha, village of the H’mong minority people after an hour walking amongst terraced paddies, corn fields. Walk around the village from small hamlets to hamlets: Pot-belly pigs, piggy, chicken, buffaloes and children playing their own toy. Visit some local houses, enjoy the hospitality and get to know a lot about their hard but healthy life. Leaving the village and walk about 15 minutes to an old missionary. Driver pick-up and transfers you back to Sapa town.
   
  Overnight in Sapa.
• Day 2

  Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan (B/L)

  After breakfast, drive to Lao Chai village, from there you will walk to the valley, visit Lao Chai village then continue trekking to Ta Van where you will visit the Giay minority people. This tribe traditionally fished for a living and as a result established themselves close to rivers. They have mastered the art of fishing with bamboo sticks, and cook the fish in the bamboo. Nowadays, however you are more likely to see the Giay working in fields planting or harvesting rice. We will continue our walk through an impressive bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, and then on to the village of Supan where driver pick-up and transfer you back to Sapa town.

   
  Overnight in Sapa.
• Day 3

  Sapa – Hanoi by bus (B)

  This morning is your free time to soak up the Sapa town, its daily market or do more trekking to villages.

   
  Take afternoon bus drive back to Hanoi City. Arrive Hanoi in the evening.

A. CANCELLATION POLICY:
The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:

• More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
• Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
• Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
• Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
• Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
• No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost

B. CHILDREN POLICY (land service only)

• Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
• Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
• Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
• Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
• Child from 12 yrs up: pay as adult rate
