Day 1: Hanoi –
Arrival
You are arrival
at our thousand years Capital – Hanoi city. Welcomed by our tour guide at
Noi Bai International airport and then transfer to your hotel in the city
center. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Hanoi (B)
In the morning to
visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Mondays & Fridays closed), House on
Stilt, Tran Quoc pagoda, Army Museum and Hanoi Flag Tower. In the
afternoon, visit Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (The First National
University established in 1076). Later on we take one hour cyclo ride around
the trading area in Hanoi Old Quarter, and stop at Ngoc Son Temple
for a short visit. The day tour ends with Water Puppet show at
Thang Long theatre. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi -
Halong Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast,
take 3.5 hours drive to Halong bay, a World Heritage Area of
outstanding natural beauty. Upon arrival, transfer to a junk for a cruise
around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. The
cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may
stop for a while for visiting a beautiful case, if not today, you will do
tomorrow according to each boat/junk’s itinerary. Again your dinner served
on board. In the evening, enjoy the night fishing (optional) and later
overnight on board.
Day 4: Ha Long
Bay - Hanoi – Late flight to Danang (Brunch)
In the morning,
cruising more in the Halong bay before return to the Halong pier. Enjoy
brunch on board before disembarking time.
Car pick up and
drive directly you to airport for a flight to Danang. Upon arrival you are
transferred to Hoi An town. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An -
Cooking at Tra Que Village (B)
Tra Que is a
charming little village on the edge of Hoi An, the village is named after
the sweet scented vegetables that spice up the everyday meals of the Pho Hoi
people. Here a new spirit for traditional Hoi An dishes like Cao Lau, Quang
noodles, the local ‘Tam huu’ spring roll (made from Tra Que vegetables) and
cake with meat (Banh xeo) has been enlivened. Enjoy a cookery class with
your host. Experience a day of living and working with the local people in
Tra Que vegetable village, in which you will have a chance to
discover the daily life of farmers.
In the afternoon,
you will walk to visit ancient town of Hoi An. The visit will
includes Japanese covered bridge, some Chinese Assembly Halls, and some
typical Vietnamese houses of 18 century. Free time for shopping later on.
Overnight stay in Hoian.
Day 6: Hoi An -
Ho Chi Minh City (B)
You will take
morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After lunch, continue the trip to
Cu Chi, visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed
by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Back to Ho
Chi Minh City for short city tour passing Reunification Palace, Notre
Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 7: Ho Chi
Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L)
This trip
provides a look at a wide variety of the life and scenery of the Delta. On
the way you can see green rice paddy fields stretching towards the horizon.
After arrival in Cai Be, a boat takes you to the floating market
with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging their goods from their
boats. Lunch at Ancient garden house then proceeding to Vinh Long, passing
small and beautiful canal see peaceful tranquil life of villagers, admire
marvelous natural setting of Mekong Delta region. Stop at An Binh islet
famous for their fruit orchards. We will enjoy the local tropical fruits and
see how local people cultivate their orchards, make their living from
ceramics, popcorn and rice paper... A nice chance for bicycle riding,
roaming through the village and looking at the local handicraft shops. A
stop will be landed on Vinh Long market a nice walk around. Continue driving
to Can Tho. Over night in Can Tho.
Day 8: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Cruising along
the small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat, we will see the Cai
Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take
in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives
along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a
rice husking mill factory. Lunch at local restaurant on the way back to Sai
Gon via My Tho. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Ho Chi
Minh city - Bangkok (B)
Free time for
shopping or optional visit before transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for a
flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Overnight in
Bangkok.
Day 10: Bangkok –
Wats & Rivers (B/L)
Today we begin
our tour of Bangkok with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya
River to see many lively inner canals which provide some fantastic views
of the local life. Along the way we will stop over at Wat Arun, the temple
of dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace which dedicated to the
Thai Royal Family’s ceremonies. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew,
which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex we
will drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of
the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well
known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Po houses a gigantic Reclining
Buddha. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 11: Bangkok – Chiang Mai (B/D)
Transfer out for
flight departure to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival at Chiang Mai, drive
directly to Wat Phra That Doi-Suthep. When we get there, let’s start
where the main staircases ascend. On each side of the staircases stand the
seven-headed Nagas (Serpents) that guard the temple from evil or
harm. After climbing 306 steps, we will reach the beautiful Golden Pagoda
that encases the relic of the Lord Buddha. You can walk around the temple,
sound the bells and see a very beautiful panoramic view of Chiang Mai City
that is 3,500 feet above sea level. Enjoy a Khuntoke Dinner with a
Northern Dance Show. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 12: Chiang
Mai (B/L)
Depart Chiang Mai
to visit Sai Nam Pueng Orchid Farm and continue to the elephant camp.
Watch the elephants pick up timber from the forest; you will be amazed by
their strength and clever teamwork. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the
afternoon, visit Joy’s Farm and the School for Life. This
place has become the care center for orphans from parts of Chiang Mai and
surrounding areas. The children will guide you around their schoolrooms,
their vegetable plantation and later enjoy their cooking experience. Leave
from Joy’s Farm in late afternoon and return to hotel for overnight.
Day 13: Chiang Mai - Mae Hong Son (B/L)
Take the early
flight to Mae Hong Son. Ride a long-tail boat along the Pai river and
visit a long-neck Padong hill tribe village. Return to explore the
small town of Mae Hong Son. Overnight in Mae Hong Son.
Day 14: Mae Hong Son - Pai (B/L)
On the next day,
visit Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu located on the hill to have a
spectacular view of the entire valley of Mae Hong Son and surrounding
countryside. Explore temples built in the Thai-Burmese architectural style.
Proceed to Tham Lod, the largest cave in the North and enjoy a ride
on bamboo raft. Stay overnight in the scenic town of Pai.
Day 15: Pai -
Chiang Mai - Departure (B)
Travel along the
mountain landscape back to Chiang Mai. Depart Chiang Mai to your next
destination.
