There is no better way than enjoying the Hoi An bicycle tour to discover the old imperial Centre Vietnam and see the finest collection of Cham pieces in the world and admire the architectural, historic and cultural elements of Hoi An Town.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    HUE ARRIVAL

     Welcome to Hue – the royal city of Vietnam. Vietnamstay guide will escort you to hotel for check –in before we start our Hoi An bicycle tour.

     
     
  • Day 2

    HUE – Cycling Hue Citadel (B/L)

     To Begin our Hoi An bicycle tour we will cycle to Hue Citadel, home to the Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 – 1945) and walk to visit the Capital City, the Imperial City and the Forbidden City. Continue biking to visit Thien Mu pagoda, incense stick & conical hat making villages and tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Lunch in garden house restaurant.

     
    Back to hotel at mid-afternoon. Enjoy 60 minutes complementary traditional Vietnamese massage then we will go back to the hotel
     
     
  • Day 3

    HUE – half day Tam Giang Lagoon by bike (B/L)

     Leave Hue city and cycle off-road into the villages and to Tam Giang Lagoon, the biggest lagoon in Southeast Asia. Board the boat, cruise on the lagoon, experience catching fish by using local fishing tool, visit a local fisher man family who works and lives on boat on this lagoon. Enjoy simple local food in restaurant before cycling back to Hue city.

     
    Free afternoon and spend a one more night in Hue.
  • Day 4

    HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B/L)

     After breakfast, depart Hue for Hoi An along the Highway 1. This drive is reputedly the most beautiful in all Vietnam. The drive passes the coastal fishing settlements, most notably Lang Co with its stunning lagoon backdrop and takes us over Hai Van Pass ‘pass of the ocean clouds’. Arrive in Hoi An at noon time.

     
    In the afternoon, you will do an easy walking tour to visit Hoi An ancient town, recently named as World Heritage Site by UNESCO this is the highlight of our Hoi An bicycle tour. Visit Tan Ky House, a late 18th-century merchant’s residence. The Fukhien Association, also known as the Assembly Hall of the Fujian Chinese Congregation, was founded as a place where minority Fujian Chinese could hold meetings, the Japanese bridge.  Next, visit the temple for the worship of Thien Hau, goddess of the sea and protector of fishermen and sailors.
     
    Overnight in Hoi An.
  • Day 5

    HOI AN - Escape Hoi An tour (B/L)

     08.00 Your guide will take you to the small villages in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The most vibrant time of the day as hoards of children set off for school and villagers to the market, bikes and trailers laden with their daily wares.

     
    09.00 Head across the new Cua Dai bridge with its spectacular views of Hoi An and surrounds, and out to sea to the Cham Islands head for Duy Hai fishing hamlet, arriving as the small fishing boats return with their daily catch. Then spend a couple of hours cycling and exploring, stopping to take a tour of the raucous Noi Rang market.
     
    11.00 Take a break to sample ‘My Quang’, a regional noodle dish that originates in Quang Nam, the province that is home to Hoi An. While you enjoy the dish, the villagers return to their family houses for lunch and silence descends upon the village.
     
    11.30 Back on our bikes for a leisurely 45 minute ride to the floating restaurant, where you will have a delicious lunch of freshly caught seafood.
     
    13.15 Back on the bikes. Arrive in Kim Bong craft village as the carpenters return to work from their siesta. Enjoy a stunning ride through lush countryside and tracks lined by river coconut palms, with the gentle breeze sweeping in off the river.
     
    14.00 After a fun opportunity to interact with the Kim Bong villagers, set off on the winding tracks through rice fields and villages famous locally for producing sleeping mats. There is a stop to meet one of the few remaining coracle (basket) boat builders, a dying local trade. We then take in a visit to the ship building yard giving you an insight in to the importance of these trades in an area dependent upon fishing as a livelihood.
     
    14.30 Moving on to the wood carving workshops where your guide will introduce you to the carpenters and give you the chance to see these talented craftsmen produce everything from daily wares through to the intricate detailing involved in their more decorative work.
     
    15.00 Cross the river back to the town. Return to your hotel.
     
     
  • Day 6

    HOI AN (B)

     A leisure day relaxing on the beach or more walks into the charm of Hoi An town.

    Day 7HOI AN – DEPARTURE (B)

     To end our Hoi An bicycle tour we will leaving to Danang airport for your onward destination.

A. CANCELLATION POLICY:
The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:

  • More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
  • Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
  • Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
  • Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
  • No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost


B. CHILDREN POLICY (land service only)

  • Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
  • Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
  • Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
  • Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
  • Child from 12 yrs up: pay as adult rate
