In Bangkok, like in any other capital city, throngs of tourists go to the well-known historic sites. Bangkok is a thriving city with day and night markets, food carts, beautiful temples, and elaborate shrines. Bangkok is a city that is brimming with life and activity, so we know you won't be disappointed!

    Pak Khlong Talat

You will be drawn to this 24-hour flower market with more than 3,000 shops of wholesale flower merchants by the pleasant fragrances of blossoms. The market is filled with vibrantly colored bouquets, garlands, and other floral arrangements made from rows upon rows of freshly cut flowers.

    Baan Silapin

Thai artist Chumphon Akhpantanond turned the century-old teak home known as Baan Silapin into a gallery in 2010. The gallery, also known as the Artist's House, was converted into a gallery featuring regional artwork and photography as well as a theater where guests may enjoy Hun Lakhon Lek, or traditional Thai puppet performances. Thai folktales are performed by handcrafted puppets every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.

    Museum of Erawan

At the Erawan Museum, a towering pink building with curved stairs and zodiac glass ceilings is topped by a three-headed elephant standing forty-three meters tall. Erawan, a white elephant with three heads who travels between Earth and Heaven, is described in Hindu mythology. There are three floors in the museum. These levels stand-in for the earth, the sky, and the grave.

    Aircraft Cemetery

You'll be surprised by one of Bangkok's most peculiar hidden attractions just by its name: Airplane Graveyard. There is a field of rusted airplanes in the Bangkok suburbs that has evolved into a sort of outdoor museum. On land owned by a Thai businessman, the planes had been there since 2010. A large Boeing 747 can be spotted in the cemetery's center among the debris.

    Wat Phra Dhammakaya

Our last trip is a little outside of Bangkok, but it's worth going to if you're in the neighborhood. Only a small percentage of tourists are aware that Thailand is home to one of the biggest Buddhist temples in the world, and it is located just outside the capital. North of Bangkok in the province of Pathum Thani, Wat Phra Dhammakaya was built in 1970 with 700,000 gold-coated bronze Buddha sculptures inside and 300,000 on the exterior.

We can't wait for you to visit Bangkok and take in the sights and sounds of the nation's capital! After visiting your favorite Bangkok hotspots, venture off the usual path to find other treasures.
