Brunei
In Brunei, rush to the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque (SOAS) in Bandar Seri Begawan to photograph the beautiful mosque, its gold-coated main dome, the groomed grounds, and the lagoon with the replica royal barge afloat in the middle from various angles.
Indonesia
The more off the beaten road you go in Indonesia, the better the shots you'll get. Few vistas in the world compare to Padar Island in East Nusa Tenggara's Komodo National Park. To get the photo, you'll have to put in some effort.
Myanmar
Bagan, Myanmar's historic imperial city, offers fantastic photographic opportunities. You'll find a Buddhist temple ready for a closeup anywhere you point your camera in the 42-square-kilometer Bagan Archaeological Zone, which has over 5,000 stupas.
Singapore
Take a break from Southeast Asia's temples and natural surroundings by photographing one of the region's best evening cityscapes. After dusk, Marina Bay in Singapore takes on an entirely different personality; the lights and laser beams reflecting off the Marina Bay Sands structure give tourists the impression that they've stepped into a scene from the future.
