Sweden's crown princess Victoria had a taste of peaceful Hà Nội

After two days of meets and greets in their official visit to Việt Nam, the royal couple, accompanied by Swedish ambassador to Việt Nam, Pereric Högberg, left Sofitel Metropole, the hotel that has hosted the second summit between US President Donald Trump and Chairman of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un in February and took in the peaceful, cool air of early morning Hà Nội.

 

In casual clothes, Princess Victoria and her spouse joined in with Hanoian people as they were doing morning exercises at King Lý Thái Tổ square. Swedish Princess took part in the morning exercises of Hanoians. 

 

 

The Princess is expected to visit HCM City on Thursday before concluding her tour. The Swedish Crown Princess is visiting Việt Nam at the invitation of Vietnamese Vice President Đặng Thị Ngọc Thịnh, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral ties.

 

On Tuesday, she had talks with Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and attended the Sweden-Việt Nam business summit with a focus on sustainable growth. She also visited the Green One UN House, the Temple of Literature, and the bamboo craft village of Phú Vinh outside Hà Nội later in the day.

 

Sweden was the first Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam when the war was at its peak and the country was still divided.
