Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    HANOI – ARRIVAL

     Welcome to Vietnam! Our guides will warmly welcome you at airport and escort you to a luxury hotel in the city center for relax after long flight.  Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Day 2

    HANOI (B/L)

     You’ll have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century, and a popular attraction, as is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his modest stilt house where he chose to live and work. We will also visit the museum dedicated to his memory.

     
    In the afternoon, proceed to the most beautiful of Hanoi’s museums, The Ethnology museum. This showpiece provides a fascinating insight into the histories and lifestyle’s of the 54 ethnic groups of Viet Nam. Continue discovering the famed Old Quarter on foot. Walk through the hidden alleys, amaze at the old style tube houses, and visit the lively local market. Then, hop on a traditional bicycle rickshaws move at leisure pace that’s perfect for photos and slow-moving sightseeing. Seat back and relax while your driver weaves through the busy streets, dodging speeding motorbikes and rolling past French colonial houses. Finish the day trip with a coffee at a local café.

  • Day 3

    HANOI – HALONG BAY (B/L/D)

     Depart Hanoi and drive about three hours and thirty minutes to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Spend the next few days cruising on the jade waters, admiring the sublime landscape of limestone karsts aboard a traditional junk boat.  As the sun sets enjoy cocktails on the deck and a gourmet dinner.

  • Day 4

    HALONG BAY (B/L/D)

     Explore the far corners of the bay away where remote sandy beaches and clear water make an ideal spot for swimming.  Paddle your way through secluded lagoons by kayak for an up-close look at the jungle covered karsts and caves.

  • Day 5

    HALONG BAY – HANOI – FLIGHT TO DANANG – HOI AN (B)

     Explore the far corners of the bay away where remote sandy beaches and clear water makeFor early risers there is Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck of the boat. For those not wanting to be part of this is just to sleep on. A light breakfast is served after the session and the boat starts up again and heading to Sung Sot (Surprise Grotto) and you take a trip into this huge cave consisting of 3 parts.

     
    Come back to the boat and a lovely brunch served by the crew. During brunch boat has started its journey towards the port and you make up and check out of the cabins.
     
    Back in the harbor at 11:00 and drive back to Hanoi’s airport. Take a short flight to Danang City.
     
    Upon arrival, driver meets and transfers you to your luxury hotel in Hoi An town.
     
    Overnight in Hoi An. an ideal spot for swimming.  Paddle your way through secluded lagoons by kayak for an up-close look at the jungle covered karsts and caves.
  • Day 6

    HOI AN & LANTERN MAKING (B)

     This UNESCO recognized town has been artfully restored to its former glory and its quaint architecture. This afternoon take a guided walking tour of the charming town to discover a preserved pagoda, assembly hall and beautiful covered bridge – living links to Hoi An’s ancient past. Visit a local workshop and learn how to make your own miniature Hoi An lantern taught by the workshop staff. Take your unique lantern home as souvenir.

  • Day 7

    HOI AN (B)

     Beside the heritage and architecture, Hoi An is renowned for its tailors, food and way of life. Today is your free day for you to do as much or as little as you want.

  • Day 8

    HOI AN – DANANG – NHA TRANG (B)

     Today, you take an early morning flight to the seaside city of Nha Trang.

     
    This afternoon, the guide takes you to visit the Po Nagar Tower, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 7th century; the Stone Church built in French colony time and Long Son Pagoda. Free your body with 90’ Spa at hotel.

  • Day 9

    NHA TRANG – EMPEROR CRUISE & SNORKEL (B)

     Breakfast at hotel, then you are picked-up and transferred to Hon Tam port to board the Emperor Cruises junk. Welcome  aboard!  Head  out  to  Mieu  Island  to  visit  the  temple where local  people  come  to. Pay their respects followed by a 30-minutes walk across the island to see villagers going about their daily business. Then pay a short visit to the Tri Nguyen Aquarium before returning to the junk.

     
    Cruise  through  the bay  to the  Tam,  Mot and  Mun islands, popular  with  snorkelers  and scuba divers of all levels of ability. And there is time to go kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving or just relax on the beach.
     
    A sumptuous lunch is served on board as the boat drops anchor at Dam  Bay on Tre Island, a tranquil lagoon that is home to fishermen and farmers. The  cruise  continues  south  to  Hon Tre Island  and  Tre Beach,  a  wild  stretch  of  sand  with tropical coconut trees to take photos and go swimming.
     
    Cruise  through  Vinpearl  Land  and  catch  a  glimpse  of  the  Bao  Dai  Villas  on  the  way  back to Hon Tam Port before returning to Nha Trang

  • Day 10

    NHA TRANG (B)

     Free day at leisure and enjoy the beach.

  • Day 11

    NHA TRANG – HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

     Morning is your free time to enjoy the beach.

     
    Afternoon, depart to airport for another short flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
     
    Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel in city central. Evening is your free time to soak up the surrounding areas.

  • Day 12

    HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

     This morning, start to explore the sights of the city. Get far off of the tourist track with a unique walking excursion by foot through Ho Chi Minh City's Cho Lon District, or "big market". Sometimes referred to as Saigon's Chinatown district, explore the vivid and distinct charm of this little-explored corner of the city - and learn the local secrets behind one of the world's oldest and largest Chinatowns. Then take a stroll around the impressive old French-built post office and Notre Dame Cathedral before continuing to the City Hall area, another grand old colonial-era relic. Then you are free to explore the famous Dong Khoi area, home to the legendary Continental Hotel, made famous by Graham Greene in the Quiet American, and lots of popular restaurants, bars and boutiques.

  • Day 13

    HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA CRUISE (B/L)

     Depart from Ho Chi Minh around 8 am and head south to Ben Tre province, famous for its coconut production and quiet, peaceful waterways.

     
    On arrival, take a Xe loi ride through the local village of Huu Dinh to enjoy the green fields and gardens. Continue with a short walk to Huu Phuoc Bridge, where you will start your boat trip through small canals with beautiful tropical scenery. On board the boat, enjoy a welcome drink and tropical fruits while cruising.
     
    The cruise will first stop at a Coconut processing family owned business. Here you will learn what Ben Tre is known for and the hundreds of uses of each single coconut. Return to your boat and cruise across the water to a brick making factory, where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make the bricks by hand. Enjoy a casual cycling trip that will take you to visit a local rice noodle factory which produces Hu Tieu noodles, one of the most popular dishes in the region. After your visit take a short walk to one of our friends, Mrs. Huong, who lives with her 3 children and grandson – they live on fishing, shrimp and fruit orchards. Enjoy fresh fruits and tea and then board a rowing sampan taking you through a lush narrow canal, displaying the tranquil nature of the region.
     
    After our team rows you through the quiet canal, reconnect with your Day Cruiser and enjoy a cruise to a private riverside restaurant. It is time for you to relax and enjoy a 5-course lunch of local specialties. Relax and have a walk around the lush garden setting. 
     
    Then continue your cycling trip to My Long to visit Mr Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Now he and his wife live on making rice paper which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife, and see how it is made.
     
    Then visit the nearby house of Mr Hung, who is a famous sticky rice maker in the village. You can also feed his stock of catfish and walk through his fruit garden.
     
    After the visit, the boat will be waiting for you at the pier nearby to bring you back to Ben Tre city where your car will be ready to take you back to Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 14

    CU CHI TUNNELS BY SPEED BOAT (B)

     Travel like a VIP and arrive hours before the large bus tour groups to the famous Cu Chi Tunnel historical site. During the tour an English-speaking guide will introduce you to life along the banks of the Saigon River as your boat gracefully slips through knots of floating water hyacinths on this scenic boat trip. Enjoy a window into traditional Mekong river life and wonderful photo opportunities.

     
    After a short documentary, your guide will lead you through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, dug by resourceful guerrilla fighters to provide communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters during numerous conflicts.
     
    A traditional Vietnamese lunch or dinner of local specialties like lemongrass chicken and caramelized clay pot pork will be served after your visit to the tunnels.
     
    Afternoon is your free time.

  • Day 15

    HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (B)

     Enjoy the last moment relax and shopping in city Central. Then driver transfers you back to airport for your departure flight.

A. CANCELLATION POLICY:
The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:

More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost

Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
