    Best Places to Travel in Vietnam in 2019 - Winter Edition

    Da Lat is the only place in the central area of Vietnam to appear in this list. If you are tired of overwhelmed with the heat over 40°C throughout summer, you can give this cool city a try. For a long time since French colonial times, this hill town has long become the favorite place of many people. For them, this central Vietnam city is perfect for gateway in hlidays.

    The temperature hover here is around 10°C from November to early March. Situated 1.500 meters above sea level, this town offers a new refreshing change of cool climate. Thus, jackets, trousers and jumpers are essentials.
     
    Furthermore, Da Lat is extremely famous for its wide variety of flowers, vegetables and fruit from its surrounding farmlands, countless nature sites, breath-taking landscape, evergreen pine forests and minority villages. In the weekend, you can leave your bike at the homestay and walk to the complex of walking street and night market in the centre of the city. People sell a lot of street vendors, selling jam and clothes with cheap price (of couse if you can negotiate)

    And of course, we cannot forget about people here. Yhey are originally farmers, thus they are really hospitable to visitors. Their children, however, are studying in Ho Chi Minh City, and some of them return to their hometown with ideas and innovation.
     
    You may know homestay. This type of accommondation is supremely popular in Da Lat, bringing thousands of designs which would surprise every guest  coming to the spot. It was originally brought to life by some of the kids who were giving their best to contribute to their home.
     

    Sa Pa
     
    "Travelling to Vietnam and you have not gone to Sa Pa? You've got to be kidding!"
     
    That is what you will receive if you miss Sa Pa in your Vietnam trip. If so, what makes Sa Pa that worthy?
     
    Apart from others, Sapa is least likely to be involved by the human. All the beauties are nature-made, yet mesmerizing to conquer. Ham Rong mountain, Sin Chai village, Ta Phin village or O Quy Ho Pass are the destination you should not miss in your trip.

    The must-do thing when being in Sa Pa is to get to the top of Fansipan. Being called "the Roof of Indochina", Fansipan is the highest mountain in the Indochina Penisula (comprising Vietnam, Lao and Cambodia). Thanks to the cable car sytem which was completed in 2016, it took only 15 minutes, 192 times shorter than what it took to the top of Indochina years before.

    The fair of the village is also a cultural beauty of this area. It is held on every Sunday, The special thing here is that the night before the fair, boys and girls from different villages gather and have party with each other. When the fun is over, some of them stay, have a romantic night and get up eatly together on the next day. That's why people name it "Love fair" in Sa Pa.
     
    Also, Gem Valley is the coffee shop where every foreigner who has been to Sa Pa would recommend. The shop has its own unique design of of antique Hanoi and the viewing of Fansipan.
     

    Hoi An
     
    Hoi An Ancient Town is a city located on Vietnam's central coast, cut through with canals. It is a typically well-preserved example for a South-East Asian trading port dating from 15th century to 19th century.

    "Hoi An Ancient Town was classified as a National Cultural Heritage Site in 1985 and subsequently as a Special National Cultural Heritage Law of 2001 amended in 2009" - (UNESCO)
     
    And because it isan ancient town, don't forget to visit Cau Pahgoda, Tan Ky ancient house, Assembly Hall of Chinese.
    Plus, Hoi An food will not let you down. All the food are original and unique. Indeed, it tastes wonderful, especially for the foreigners.

    At night,Hoi An turns out to be as sexy as the old queen Madonna. Feel the old Hoi An just by walking around and watching sparklingly light from lanterns with all shapes and sizes. It will be just like a fairy tale.
     

    Hanoi
     
    Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the country's second largest city by population. In regards of weather, going to Hanoi in the weather is never a bad choice. The Korean-like cold weather together with ancient beauty transform the city into a paradise for dreamers. You can enjoy the cold while walking along the Hoan Kiem Lake. Or you can just sit in a roadside ice tea shop and shake at the same time.

    Of course, when people whispered to each other about a thing, it must be really special. When it comes to Hanoi, the ancient beauty of Hanoi is specifically remarkable. The beauty of overwhelming respect in The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, romantic sight of Hoan Kiem Lake or the bustling pace of the Hanoi ancient town can leave its distinctive after-taste to everyone who has a chance to pass by.
     

    Ha Giang
     
    Mentioning Ha Giang, people often talk about its nature-made beauty that has almost no involvement of the human. Located 320 kilometers from Hanoi to the north, Ha Giang deservesto be the must-go site when being on the north side of Vietnam.

    You can go to Ha Giang in any season as you prefer. In spring, Ha Giang specializes in its light pink tone with peach blossom, plum blossom. It has immense green fields of maize corn in summer or golden paddle fields with terraced fields in the autumn.

    On top of that, in winter. flower triangular circuit takes over the place creating the majestic beauty of Ha Giang. And of course, winter is mostly recommended as the flower triangular circuit is the symbol of Ha Giang.
     
    There could be snow in December in Ha Giang so if you plan to travel here coats and sweaters are essentials.
