Explore Cat Ba National Park in Hai Phong

Cat Ba National Park is a link in the ecotourism development plan of Hai Phong city and Cat Hai district. With the advantage of majestic, unspoiled mountains, poetic sea and islands, Cat Ba is an attractive destination for tourists, especially foreign tourists.

Cat Ba National Park (Cat Hai District, Hai Phong City) was established by the Prime Minister in 1986. Development process up to now, Cat Ba National Park has an area of more than 17,362ha, of which more than 9,000ha of forest on the mountain, flooded forest and more than 6,000ha of sea surface.

With the advantage of large primeval forests and diverse ecosystems, every year Cat Ba National Park welcomes a large number of domestic and international tourists to visit: walking, cycling, camping... Coming here, visitors will have interesting experiences, being immersed in the wild and majestic nature.

Cat Ba National Park is also home to diverse mangrove ecosystems. The sea in Cat Ba has many beautiful coral reefs, which are the habitats and breeding grounds of many aquatic species. According to the statistics of scientists, currently Cat Ba National Park has more than 4,000 species of flora and fauna. In which, there are many endemic species, most prominently langurs, geckos, spiders... only found in Cat Ba archipelago. In addition, there are 153 species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world.
