    1. Doi Mon Jong

    Doi Mon Jong located in Nonthaburi, district in Chiangmai, is the golden mountain of Thailand, full of lovely scenery with a fascinating local community and fields of rhododendron - a rare flower that can only be found in this region during the beginning of December to January, it's period of blossom. 

    Rising 1,929 meters above sea level, Doi Mon Jong is among the top 10 highest mountains in Thailand with its highest peak looking like a lion’s head. It takes only 3-4 hours to get to the peak by foot, however hiking in the morning when a few people appear on the trail will comfort you. Its peak is so much more wonderful for tourists to admire the incredibly beautiful sunrise and sunset views.

    Overall, day trips on the mountain Doi Mon Jong are incredible but can be so exhausting, so it’s recommended that you spend a trip of two days and one night during the best time: from December to January, enjoying the fresh atmosphere and the beautiful views of sunrise and sunset up there.

    2. Doi Luang Chiang Dao

    Doi Luang Chiang Dao is a limestone mountain in the Chiang Dao Wildlife Reserve area, which consists of many recommended mountains like Doi Sam Pee Nong, Doi Pyramid, and many more that hikers should not miss. 

    With a height of 2,195 meters from sea level, this cone-shaped mountain places it in the third tallest Thailand mountain. Depending on the preference of hikers, there are two trails that can lead them to the summit, the first one guides them to Doi Kiew Lom Viewpoint where they can admire the beautiful sunrise and the stunning view of the sea of fog, and the other ones will serve them both scene of sunrise and sunset at the peak of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. In addition, it takes 4-6 hours to get to the top but the scenery of the ecosystem with a variety of tropical flora y fauna will be able to make them feel speechless.

    In conclusion, tourists can choose to travel independently or with a guide during the trip of three days and two nights which is correctly perfect for them to clear their minds in a peaceful place with a fresh atmosphere, and enjoy the stunning views from the peak, which is especially beautiful from the beginning of November to the end of March.

    3. Kew Mae Pan

    Located inside the area of Doi Inthanon National Park, Kew Mae Pan is a must-do hiking and trekking trail not to be missed by hikers with its fascinating red azalea - a rare flower that means “Thousand Years Red Rose”, and can only be found blooming along the cliff in December. 

    Rising 2,200 meters above sea level, this Thailand mountain is the second highest mountain in the country. With a distance of 2.78km of the trekking trail, it only takes 2-4 hours to conquer the peak, so travelers suitably should take an in-day trip but still will be able to admire and experience the natural beauty of the wonderful green forest, waterfalls, and streams that lead to a cliff where you can enjoy breathtaking mountain views.

    Besides, When you are halfway on the trail, you’ll come to the open grassland with spectacular panoramic views of the mountain and the sea of clouds as far as your eyes can see, perfectly from November to February.
