The new service starts on Saturday June 1 2019 and departs each day at 8.45am from Dubai International Airport.

It then arrives in Bangkok at 6.15pm (all times local), before departing at 8pm and arriving at Phnom Penh International Airport at 9.25pm.

On the way back, the flight will leave Cambodia at 11.20pm, arriving in Bangkok at 00:40 – before setting off to Dubai at 2.25am and arriving at 5.35am.

The bustling city offers stunning and ornate architecture including the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda – while a huge Central Market offers ample opportunities for shopping.

Hotels in Phnom Penh are cheap too, with a luxury stay possible for far less than Dhs500 per night.

Just outside the city, there are plenty of day trip options such as leafy Oudong – the site of the royal capital from the 17th to the 19th century – and the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre, where visitors can see thousands of animals including tigers and clouded leopards.

Adnan Kazim, senior vice president of strategic planning at Emirates, said: "We are pleased to enhance our services to these popular Southeast Asian destinations and offer more choices for travellers in Cambodia and Thailand.

"Passengers will not only be linked directly through our daily service, but will also have access to a host of domestic and regional routes from the two countries via Emirates’ codeshare partners Bangkok Airways, Jetstar Pacific and Jetstar Asia."

And with summer coming up, it's the perfect time to get booking.
