Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    HANOI ARRIVAL (NO MEAL)

     You are welcomed at Noi Bai airport by Vietnamstay tour guide and drive before heading to your hotel in Hanoi where you have some free time at leisure in. Overnight in Hanoi.

     
    The gay nightlife in Hanoi may be small, but there are some gay bars and dance clubs at your choice:

    - Savage – 112 Xuan Dieu street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi
  • Day 2

    HANOI CITY TOUR – ANCIENT VILLAGE (B, L)

    You are picked up at your hotel at 08.00AM for a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake & Ngoc Son temple. Then, you head to Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature & the first university in Vietnams). Ho Chi Minh mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square (outside only) is the next stop for a short break and sightseeing.

    At 10.15AM at your hotel, your journey to Ky son village begins.

    11h30:  Arrival at Moon Garden in Ky Son village with welcome drinks

    12h00:  Lunch 

    13h-16h00:  Car ride or easy biking along the ritual paths of Thang Thac village with local guide to discover the famous Ngo Quyen tomb, Phung Hung temple, Duong Lam ancient village and Mia pagoda.

    No later than 17.30: Return to Hanoi hotel. Then you immerse into the Hanoian daily life with one hour of Cyclo (trishaw) ride around the old quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple.

  • Day 3

    HANOI – HOA LU – TAM COC – BICH DONG – HANOI (B)

     In the morning, you depart at 08:00AM for a journey to Ninh Binh (2 hours drive). The first visit is to Vietnam’s former capital Hoa Lu where you can find the remains of Dinh and Le Kings’ temples (quick visit). You then proceed to Tam Coc where you get on small rowing boats to travel along the canals amid local villages, green fields and natural beauty with many limestone peaks of this “Ha Long On Land”. After 02 hours through 03 caves, you row back to the boat quay. Lunch is paid by clients.

     
    Next, you take a short bike trip to Bich Dong cave (2km from Tam Coc), which was given the title “Vietnam’s second most beautiful grotto”. Here, you get to climb up the Truong Yen Mountain (Buddha’s palm) – an attraction that is charmed by the marvelous scenery offered by the mountains, rivers and pagodas…
     
    Next, you return to Hanoi for the overnight stay.
  • Day 4

    HANOI – BAI TU LONG BAY – THIEN CANH SON CAVE (B, L, D)

     07.30:AM You are picked up for a 180km drive to Halong city

     
    12.00 – 12.30 : Embark at Hon Gai International harbor.
     
    12.30 – 13.00 : Check-in, enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing.
     
    13.30 – 15.00 : Have lunch while cruising to the magnificent BaiTu Long Bay with the fascinating scenery on the way.
     
    15.15 – 15.40 : Explore the well- hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.
     
    15.45 – 18:00 : Relax on the white-sand beach at Hon CoIsland, swimming or kayaking.
     
    18:00 – 19.00 : Back to the junk boat for refreshing before having dinner on board.
     
    20.00 – 21.00 : Relax & free time at leisure.
     
    Overnight on cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay.
  • Day 5

    VUNG VIENG FISHING VILLAGE – YEN DUC VILLAGE – HANOI – DANANG – HOIAN (B, L)

     07.30 – 08.00AM: You wake up with the view of the bay’s landscape, with servings of tea or coffee and a delicious breakfast

     
    08.30 – 09.30: Visit VungVieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat, meet the local people and visit fish farms.
     
    10.00: Check out of the cabin and start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.
     
    11.45 – 12.00: Disembark. You are transferred back to Hanoi with a stop on the way at Yen Duc village
     
    Next, you head to Noi Bai airport for a late afternoon flight to Danang city.
     
    On arrival, you are picked up by our tour guide and driver before proceeding to your hotel in Hoian.

  • Day 6

    HOIAN FISH & CHIP TOUR – HOIAN WALKING TOUR (B, L)

     08:00AM You are collected at your hotel lobby and ride bicycles (or by car) to Tra Que Village where you get to see the vegetable planting and the daily activities of local farmers. You then ride your bike along the De Vong River to Hoi An Beach dock where you take a boat ride to Cua Dai sand dune. Here, you can enjoy the casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fishermen. Cam Thanh Water coconut village is next on the list where you have a brief introduce to its history and take on the basket boat (02 pax/ boat) and row along the water coconut river. You get to learn how to catch the crabs (for fun). Return to the motor boat and enjoy the folk songs show by local people. Lunch is then served at Son Hoian Restaurant.

     
    In the late afternoon, you visit famous ancient town of Hoian (walking). The visit includes Japanese covered bridge, some Chinese Assembly Halls, and some typical Vietnamese houses of 18th century. Lastly, you take a boat ride near the Japanese bridge in the evening when the candles are lit.

  • Day 7

    HOIAN VESPA TOUR: COUNTRYSIDE AND ISLAND EXPLORE (B, L)

     Tour Runs Daily 08:00AM – 01:00PM – Explore the roads less travelled

     
    This countryside tour of Hoi An will give you great insights to local life. Setting off from Café Zoom in Hoi An, you ride over the bridge to Cam Kim Island and along the riverside into the beautiful rural countryside. First stops include an Ancestral House and a traditional boat-builder yard. Then, you head to explore the sleepy island villages. Zig-zaging through the breathtaking scenery of rice paddies & farmland in the cooling breeze here provide you with a great experience. Next, you learn from friendly local families the art of mat weaving, farming, and how to make (and eat) the perfect Banh Dap rice crackers. Meeting local families is a must-do to see the real way of life in Vietnam.
     
    After snacking on rice crackers, you are to visit a local café to fuel up on local drip-coffee & learn the art of coffee roasting. You then gear up for a pumping 300-meter bamboo bridge river crossing before making your way to the coast at the Thu Bon river mouth, with pretty Casuarina Pine & Cashew Nut Trees along the way. Finally, it is time to admire the spectacular panoramic views of Hoi An crossing its new bridge. You then arrive at the water coconut palm fringed Cam Thanh and then on to a sensational seafood lunch on Hoi An’s most glorious beaches. This countryside tour of Hoi An then concludes with a free drop-off at your hotel.

  • Day 8

    HOIAN – DANANG – SAIGON (B)

     Today, you have full free time at leisure until being transferred to the airport for your afternoon flight to Saigon.

     
    On arrival, you are picked up by our tour guide and driver before checking in your hotel and relax.

    Ho Chi Minh’s gay nightlife is small and are mixed. These gay-popular bars & clubs can be a hit or miss, though Friday and Saturday nights are usually busy:

  • Day 9

    HALF DAY CITY TOUR IN SAIGON (B)

     In the morning, you enjoy your free time in Saigon (sleeping, walking, shopping…)

     
    At 13.00, you start today‘s Saigon city tour. The first visit is to the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam. Next, you continue to the Reunification Palace, former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in April 30, 1975. Then, you make your way to Jade Pagoda and the nearby Notre Dame Cathedral & the  Post Office. The day ends with a visit to Bitexco Tower to enjoy the view of Saigon city.

  • Day 10

    SAIGON – CAO DAI TEMPLE – CU CHI TUNNELS – A O SHOW (B)

     At 09.00AM, you make your way to Tay Ninh to see the ornate holy Cao Dai Temple and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colorful robes, a symbol of the extra combination of the Confucianism, Christianity, Taoism and Buddhism.

     
    After lunch (paid by clients), you return to Ho Chi Minh City with a stop at the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence and reunification. Have A O SHOW at Saigon Opera Theatre.

  • Day 11

    SAIGON – BEN TRE – CAN THO (B, L)

     Depart from your hotel at 08:00AM, you take a 2-hour-pleasant drive to Ben Tre province, crossing the Rach Mieu bridge. On arrival in Hung Vuong Pier, you hop on a motorized boat on Ben Tre river – one of the tributaries of Mekong river while sight-seeing lively activities along river such as fishing or water transferring. Our first stop is at a brick workshop to see how bricks are traditionally made, printed and baked. You then visit one of plenty coconut processing workshops located along canal. Finally, you return to the boat and go through the natural scissors creeks to a village and see how some local houses making sleeping mats and enjoying some fruits.

     
    You then take a motorized cart (tuk tuk) or bicycle to ride on the shady paths, passing by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to feel the real life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Lunch at a riverside restaurant is then ready to serve you. After lunch, you take a rowing-boat along beautiful water palm creek before meeting up with the motorized boat and to transfer you back to the pier. Heading to your hotel in Can Tho after a memorable day merging in Mekong Delta local living, you check in to your hotel room.

  • Day 12

    CAN THO – FLOATING MARKET – PHU QUOC ISLAND (B)

     In the morning, you take a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market – the highlight of Mekong Delta (please confirm the time with tour guide. We suggest you start tour at 5.30AM). The busy colorful floating market is a unique touch to this area and is loved by many. Weaving through the various boats, you arrive at the tropical fruit garden (Ba Cong Fruit Garden) - well known for some of the most delicious fruits of the country. Do not forget to savor some delicious seasonal fruits here. You then return to your hotel at 8.30am for breakfast and free time for relaxing.

     
    You are picked up at your hotel at 10.00AM before going to Can Tho airport for a flight to Phu Quoc Island, departing at 11.50am
     
    On arrival, you are picked up and transferred to your resort in Phu Quoc Island.

The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:
  • More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
  • Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
  • Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
  • Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
  • No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost

  • Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents
