Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    HANOI – ARRIVAL

     Arrive in Hanoi – a thousand years Capital and transfer to hotel. You are then free to unwind after your flight and get settled into your new surroundings. Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Day 2

    HANOI CITY AND STREET FOOD TASTING (B/L)

     You will have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (close on Monday & Friday afternoon), his modest stilt house and the museum dedicated to his memory

     
    Enjoy the street food walking tour. Get more information about Vietnamese traditional cuisines, its culture and the eating habits of locals. Walk through the small streets of the Old Quarter, passing by road-side markets, stop at numbers of food stalls to see the sellers prepare the dishes and taste the food.
     
    The tour also provides the opportunity to see Hanoi’s famed Old Quarter from the seats of traditional Cyclo through the old colonial quarter before finishing the day with a performance of the famous water-puppets. Overnight in Hanoi
     
    Note: Shorts and tank tops are not allowed in Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & pagodas.
  • Day 3

    HANOI – NINH BINH – Thung Nham & Thien Ha caves (B/L)

     Today, take 2 hour drive to Ninh Binh through the lush vegetation of the Red River. Continue to Tam Coc. From here, hop on a local bike, ride 2.5 km (or optional of OX cart) through rural villages, limestone rocks and impressive rice paddy towards Thung nham. You will have the opportunity to admire a magnificent panorama of the region that is considered the Halong Bay on land. Board a sampan rowboat on a small river through caves that give you the impression of being in a magical space & beautiful stalactites come down from the ceiling. Continue an easy short walk to visit Thien Ha cave (Celeste the river) where you will continue a boat ride inside the cave over 300 meters with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Late afternoon, drive back to Hanoi city. Overnight in Hanoi

  • Day 4

    HANOI – HA LONG BAY – THE WORLD HERITAGE (B/L/D)

     Make an early morning departure from Hanoi and drive 3.5 hours through the Red River Delta on your way to Halong city. Upon arrival, the crew will greet us abroad the traditional style junk with a refreshing welcome drink and then the cruise begins! While navigating the way through the emerald waters and limestone islands, lunch is served with delicious fresh seafood (vegetarians are also catered for). As cruising through the bay, marvel at the amazing karst scenery with different formations. Halong Bay is littered with hidden caves and grottoes and we’ll take some time to explore one of these. For those felling active you then can explore the bay by sea kayak. After the dinner, night fishing is available on the main deck. Overnight abroad in the bay.

  • Day 5

    HANOI – DA NANG – HOI AN (B)

     Early risers can enjoy the sunrise and the quiet breath-taking beauty of Halong Bay’s landscape. Continue cruising to explore more of the bay and enjoy the brunch breakfast before returning to the Jetty at noon time. Drive transfer directly to Noi Bai airport for 1 hour flight to Danang city.

     
    After landing at Danang airport, take a 40 minutes drive to the charming town of Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
  • Day 6

    HOI AN & TRA QUE VILLAGE (B/L)

     In the morning, take half day excursion to Tra Que Vegetable Village, walk around a vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land, fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake, raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. After gardening activities, you will be relaxed with foot massage with much kind of herb remedies. Then spend the rest time to learn how to prepare ‘Tam Huu' spring roll & banh xeo with your host.  Ride back to your hotel.

     
    In the afternoon, you will do an easy walking tour to visit Hoi An ancient town, recently named as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit Tan Ky House, a late 18th-century merchant’s residence. The Fukhien Association, also known as the Assembly Hall of the Fujian Chinese Congregation, was founded as a place where minority Fujian Chinese could hold meetings, the Japanese bridge.  Later it became a temple for the worship of Thien Hau, goddess of the sea and protector of fishermen and sailors. Overnight in Hoian.
  • Day 7

    HOI AN – HUE (B)

     Free morning at your leisure.

     
    The afternoon, you travel to the ancient capital of Hue along one of the most beautiful coastal stretches of Vietnam and over the glorious Hai Van Pass (or the Pass of Ocean Cloud). Make a stop at the small fishing village of Lang Co, often referred to as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, then continue to Hue city. Overnight in Hue.
  • Day 8

    HUE (B/L)

     Our adventure begins with a visit to the Citadel which including the Capital city, the Imperial city and the Forbidden City. Next visit the intricately decorated tomb of Khai Dinh, which contains a beautiful altar and a bust of the king. Continue drive through rice fields to Thanh Toan Bridge. On arrival at Thanh Thuy village, free to visit and shop at a real local market. Followed by a visit to the Agricultural Museum to learn about the tools used by farmers in Vietnam (ploughs, sickles, hoes, rice-hulling mills, ect.). Join the folk fames for fun. You can even join in with some agricultural activities. End the day trip with visit to Dong Ba local market. Overnight in Hue.

  • Day 9

    HUE – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L)

     Take the mid morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive HCMC, you are transferred to hotel.

     
    In the afternoon, begin exploring the sights of the city. Learn about the legacy of war at the dramatic War Remnants Museum. Also visit Reunification Hall, formerly the Presidential Palace of South Vietnam. It was here that a North Vietnamese tank famously crashed through the gates bringing an end to the long Vietnam War and the building has been preserved exactly as it was in 1975. Then take a stroll around the impressive old French-built post office and Notre Dame Cathedral before continuing to the City Hall area, another grand old colonial-era relic. After that you are free to explore the famous Dong Khoi area, home to the legendary Continental Hotel, made famous by Graham Greene in the Quiet American, and lots of popular restaurants, bars and boutiques. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
  • Day 10

    HO CHI MINH CITY – EXCURSION TO MEKONG DELTA (B/L)

     After breakfast, leave behind the hustle and bustle of Saigon to delve into the Mekong Delta, a patchwork of emerald greens and the rice bowl of southern Vietnam. After 2 hours drive, arrive Ben Tre province crossing Rach Mieu Bridge, hop on a private motorize and cruise through the waterways and cannel of the Mekong delta to visit fruits orchards and learn about the local cottage industries like brick kiln-making, coconut processing, sleeping mats. Take a motorized cart (tuk tuk) or bicycle on shady paths, passing by green rice fiends and vegetable plains. Lunch is served in local restaurant.

     
    After lunch, we experience a rowing-boat ride along beautiful water palm creek before we continue by the motorized boat back to the pier. We then return to our vehicle for the onward journey to HCMC. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
  • Day 11

    HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS – DEPARTURE (B)

     This morning, you will take 1 hour drive to outskirt of the city to visit Cu Chi tunnels, the “Iron Triangle”, our Viet Cong basement in the American war. You can crawl through a tunnel and even fire an AK47 rifle (on your own account) Return to Ho Chi Minh city and leave some time free to soak up the atmosphere of the city before being transferred to airport for our onward flight.

Our price based on the group arrives at one time (one flight). In case, clients arrive on different flight times, and need different airport transfer, extra transfer will be charged.  We apply the same for departure date. 
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Our price of the tour is not included travel insurance. We highly recommend you purchase health/travel insurance for your trip to Asia. 
 
RESPONSIBILITY
-          Except in situations beyond human control, Vietnamstay will be held responsible for any additional expense resulting from the change caused by us in itinerary, transportation, accommodation.
-          However, Vietnamstay cannot be held responsible for denied boarding, nor for additional costs occurred due to the situations beyond human control.
-          The detailed program and schedule flights are subject to changes by airline without prior notice and in accordance with the weather conditions and daily operation of flights. Consequently, itinerary concerned might be adjusted. If this occurs, , Vietnamstay will endeavor to secure the alternative arrangements. 
 
CHILDREN POLICY (land service only)
-          Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
-          Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
-          Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
-          Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room

    TOURIST VISA 

    Please make sure your passport has at least 6 months validity from the entry date. Also please check whether you need an entry visa to Asian countries (Vietnam/Lao/Cambodia/Myanmar/Thailand) before starting your trip. Please consult with us if you are not sure.
     
    VACCINE 
    There is no compulsory to get any vaccine to visit our countries. But we encourage you to have popular Vaccine such as Diphtheria, Tetanus, Typhoid, Polio. You may consult your doctor before traveling.
